The Imo State Police Command has arrested eight suspects in connection with the arson attack on the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) Centre in Ehime Mbano Local Government Area. The attack, which occurred at 9 p.m. on Monday, also targeted a building owned by former Okigwe North Senator, Frank Ibezim.
Imo Police spokesperson, Henry Okoye, confirmed the arrests, stating, “We have apprehended over eight suspects linked to the arson in Ehime Mbano, and investigations are still ongoing.” He added that further details will be released as the investigation progresses.
