Suspected armed robbers disrupted academic activities at Western Delta University in Oghara, Delta State, on Thursday.
The intruders accessed the campus through an unfenced area at the back, attempting to rob students.
The robbery attempt was thwarted by the quick response of the police, who arrived almost immediately after students raised the alarm and ran into the bush for safety.
Delta State Police Command Public Relations Officer SP Bright Edafe confirmed the incident, stating, “The suspected robbers entered through the broken fence at the back of the school, but the police responded swiftly, and they all fled.”
