The Ekiti State Teaching Service Commission has indefinitely suspended Mrs. Veronica Yemisi Ilesanmi, Principal of Ekiti Baptist High School, for unauthorized use of the school’s playground for a social event, in violation of state policy.

The Ekiti State Teaching Service Commission has placed Mrs. Veronica Yemisi Ilesanmi, Principal of Ekiti Baptist High School in Igede Ekiti, on indefinite suspension for unauthorized use of the school’s playground for a social event.
A statement issued by the Commission’s Permanent Secretary, Mr. Michael Boluwade, indicated that the suspension was due to Mrs. Ilesanmi’s disregard for the state’s policy prohibiting public school facilities from hosting social events, as outlined in a circular (Reference Number EK/ED/AD/398/155) dated August 12, 2024.
She has been instructed to transfer all school-related property to the senior Vice Principal and is barred from accessing the school during her suspension.
