Cursory: A tragic event has occurred, after a wooden boat carrying a yet to be determined number of school children capsized. Rescue operations are still ongoing but given the amount of time that passed, finding survivors will be a miracle.


After a boat carrying an unknown number of kids capsized while attempting to cross the rough river, the bodies of about seven school kids were recoverd from the Densu River.
The tragedy happened on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at 5 p.m., and while rescue efforts are still ongoing, there is less optimism that any other children will be discovered alive.
The accident occurred at Faana, which is located in the Weija Gbawe municipality of Accra, Ghana.
According to Clement Agyi, an assemblyman for the McCarthy South electoral constituency, the undetermined number of youngsters were returning home from school when the disaster struck.
An eyewitnesses also added that the overflow of the Weija Dam accelerated the river currents and led to the capsize of the wooden boat carrying the children.
