FUOYE Mgmt Debunks Misleading Claims on Radiography Accreditation

The attention of the Management of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti has been drawn to a viral post circulated by the Students’ Union Government and some Radiography students regarding the accreditation status of the Radiography programme.
For the avoidance of doubt, Radiography currently enjoys INTERIM accreditation from the National Universities Commission (NUC). This in no way hinders students from attending lectures, sitting for examinations, graduating, or pursuing their careers. The NUC will re-visit the programme in due course.
It is also pertinent to clarify that professional accreditation has been suspended nationwide by a directive of the Federal Ministry of Education (FME), only few professional courses accreditation was approved by FME for all Universities in Nigeria. Consequently, the claims regarding licensing and professional examinations as alleged in the viral post are misleading, null, and void.
Management appreciates the concerns expressed by stakeholders and the general populace. At FUOYE, the welfare, academic progress, and future prospects of our students remain our utmost priority.
Signed,
Management
