Maria Abidia Shatters Varsity’s Record, Bags Ph.D. With an Outstanding 5.0/5.0 CGPA

Cursory: Maria Abidia, a brilliant lady, from Akwa Ibom State Nigeria, has broken a long-standing jinx by emerging as the only female to hold a Ph.D. in her field. She graduated with a perfect score of 5.0 CGPA and is said to have emerged as the best in her undergraduate program with an almost perfect score.

A Facebook page, Students Mirror has recently brought the stellar academic performance of a brilliant lady to the limelight.

According to the post, Maria Abidia who is an indigene of Akwa Ibom State emerged as the overall best graduating student from Ignatius Ajuru University.

Maria, made history and is officially the first Nigerian female PhD holder in Music Conducting and Ensemble Management, as was announced in the school’s 41st postgraduate graduation ceremony.

It was also stated that during her undergraduate years, she had emerged as the best-graduating student with a CGPA of 4.92/5.0. Maria has proven that hardworking and consistency are a sure recipe for success.

“Meet Maria Abidiak, Best Graduating PhD Student of Ignatius Ajuru University.Dr Maria Abidiak, is from Akwa Ibom State.She emerged as the overall best graduating PhD Student of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education 41st postgraduate graduation ceremony, from the Department of Music.

“She got a 5.0 CGPA out of the 5.0 CGPA. It may interest you to know, she was the overall best-graduating student in her undergraduate programme with a CGPA of 4.92/5.0.

“She was the overall best in the Master’s programme also. And now officially the first Nigerian female PhD holder in Music Conducting and Ensemble Management!,” the post reads.
