A final-year student of the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Blessing Kalu, has been killed by a truck in Umudike Oboro in the Ikwuano Local Government Area of Abia State.


A source said Kalu, who was from Nkporo, in the Bende LGA of Abia State, was on a motorcycle when the incident happened.
The source disclosed that the Entrepreneurial Studies student, who finished her final examination last Friday, went to fill her gas cylinder and while coming back, the motorcycle rider carrying her tried to overtake a truck .
According to the source, she was hit by the truck’s backside.
“She fell and started breathing heavily. Shortly afterwards, she gave up the ghost. Nothing happened to the motorcycle rider,” the source added.
