UNILAG Distance Learning Admission Form 2026/2027 is Out [UPDATED]

AllSchool is pleased to inform the public that the management of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) Distance Learning Institute (DLI) Admission Form for 2026/2027 Academic Session is Out.

Consequently, applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the following programmes at the university will be offered by Open and Distance Learning mode.

4.0   GENERAL INFORMATION

a.   Application will be in two stages: Part-Time JAMB Registration and DLI UNILAG

• Applicants must meet the minimum entry requirements of Five (5) credits in SSCE/GCE/NECO O’ level, including English Language and Mathematics, taken at not more than two sittings.
• Applicants seeking admission to Year Two should possess any of NCE, ND (Minimum of Lower Credit), JUPEB, IJMB, GCE A’ Levels in relevant subjects.
• Applicants seeking admission to Year Three should possess any of HND (Minimum of Lower Credit), Bachelor’s degree (Minimum of Third Class) and evidence of NYSC Discharge Certificate, Exemption or Exclusion Certificate.
• Applicants seeking admission to Year Three with relevant Professional Qualifications such as ICAN ACA, ACIB, ANAN, ACCA, ACMA and ACIS CM, CIBN, ANACIA are eligible to apply.
• Applicants awaiting results are not eligible to apply. f Applicants for the Distance Learning Institute programmes should not be less than 16 years of age by 31st October, 2026.
• Admission is open to all applicants irrespective of any learning disability or challenge.
• Applicants are required to possess basic ICT skills to enable them navigate the ICT Enabled Supported Blended Learning Model (IESBL) of the ODL mode.
• There will be no UTME examination for Distance Learning Institute, University of Lagos, (UNILAG).

   6. B.A. (Ed.) English
   7. B.Sc. (Ed.) Mathematics
   8. B.Sc. (Ed.) Physic

UNILAG DLI Admission General Entry Requirements.

The following candidates are eligible to apply:

2.1 Graduates of University of Lagos or any other University recognized by Senate with degrees in relevant disciplines.

2.2 Holders of Higher National Diploma (HND) or National Diploma (ND) or National Certificate in Education (NCE) in the relevant disciplines.

2.3 Holders of recognized relevant full professional qualifications particularly ACA, ANAN, ACCA, ACMA, ACIA, ACIS, ACIB and CII may be considered for admission at enhanced level provided they have five credits at WASCE/SSCE/GCE/NECO (‘O’ Level) or its equivalent, which must include English Language, Mathematics, Economics plus any other two (2) relevant subjects at not more than two (2) sittings.

2.4 Holders of WASCE/SSCE/GCE/NECO (‘O’ Level) or its equivalent with credit in five (5) subjects   including English Language, Mathematics plus any other three (3) relevant subjects at not more than two (2) sittings.

PLEASE NOTE:

• Point of entry for candidates in categories 2.1 to 2.3 will depend on details of their transcripts and such candidates must also satisfy the WASCE/SSCE/GCE/NECO (‘O’ Level) or its equivalent as stated in 2.4 above.
• All academic transcripts for the candidates in categories 2.1 and 2.2 must reach the Deputy   Registrar/Institute Secretary, Distance Learning Institute, in sealed envelopes forwarded directly   from the awarding Institution on or before the start of the session in which admission is being sought. 

How to Apply for UNILAG Open Distance and Learning Application form.

STAGE 1

• Log on to JAMB CAP Website and Register (Part-Time)
• Pay a sum of N3,500 to enable you obtain registration number

STAGE 2

• Step 1: Log on to UNILAG Application Portal http://applications.unilag.edu.ng
• Step 2: Click “Start Fresh Application”
• Step 3: Select Distance Learning Institute as application type, then provide your Surname, First Name, Middle Name, JAMB Registration Number, Mobile Phone Number and e-mail Address.
• Step 4: Click the “Pay now” to pay online, the application fee of =N=20,000 (Twenty Thousand Naira) Only. OR Print the Payment advice with Remita Number to make payment at any Commercial Bank.
• Step 5: Return to the application portal (applications.unilag.edu.ng) after payment click “continue application” enter your payment reference number and your surname in lower case as password.
• Step 6: Complete all required details and upload necessary documents
• All completed application forms must be submitted online on or before 31st December, 2026
• Step 7: Complete the application form, submit online and print a copy. (Candidates can save their application form for later editing).
