The University of Ilesa, Osun, has banned indecent dressing, warning students of expulsion for violations, while emphasizing discipline, proper conduct, and safety on campus.

The University of Ilesa, Osun, has introduced a ban on indecent dressing, mandating staff to deny entry to improperly dressed students from lectures and university offices, with violators facing potential expulsion.

During the institution’s second matriculation ceremony for the 2024/2025 academic session, Vice Chancellor Prof. Taiwo Asaolu emphasized the importance of discipline and character alongside academic excellence. Students are required to wear identity cards on campus, and any clothing that exposes sensitive body parts will not be tolerated. The university’s security personnel and Directorate of Internal Quality Assurance (DIQA) are authorized to arrest and sanction offenders.

Prof. Asaolu also warned against behaviors such as cultism, harassment, and hooliganism, advising students involved in such activities to renounce them for rehabilitation or report external pressure to join outlawed groups. He reaffirmed the university’s commitment to maintaining discipline and fostering a safe learning environment.
