A UNILORIN student blocked her boyfriend after receiving ₦150,000 worth of Valentine’s gifts and posted another man instead, leaving him heartbroken and crying outside a school hostel.

A University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) student allegedly broke her boyfriend’s heart after accepting ₦150,000 worth of Valentine’s gifts, blocking him on all platforms, and then posting another man alongside the gifts.
The incident was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by user @drow_een, who claimed the heartbroken boyfriend was seen crying outside a school hostel after discovering the betrayal.
The viral post read:
“So this boy in my school spent ₦150,000 on his babe’s Valentine’s gift. She took everything, blocked him everywhere, and then posted another man along with the gifts he sent her.😭🙌🏾 The boy was crying in the middle of the night in front of Arafims🤣 God abeggg.”
The story quickly gained traction, sparking mixed reactions from social media users.
See some reactions below:
• @Chidiebube_1: “Lol. Crying ke? If it isn’t a perishable gift, what’s stopping him from collecting it back and moving on?”
• @stxrodi: “Something he should have gone back to retrieve.”
• @chisom_ajah: “Same thing happened to my friend. He sent her ₦150k with a sweet Valentine’s message, and instead of a thank you, she posted the money bouquet and cake someone else got her. He blocked her immediately.”
• @whoismufasa: “No need to collect it back, just move on and embrace the villain arc.”
• @BenRmc_: “Weak men keep giving these girls bragging rights. What is this???”
• @_UncleAlex: “We may laugh now, but experiences shape people. If this boy later grows up believing ‘women are wicked,’ he’s speaking from experience, not some ‘red pill’ ideology.”
• @urban_poet_: “This isn’t funny. If this boy turns into a full-blown menace tomorrow, don’t start wailing.”
