University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) Diploma & Certificate Admission Form for 2025/2026 Academic Session is Out. The deadline to apply (closing date) is 27 February 2026.


The University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID), through its Consultancy Services Center and the Diploma and Certificate Programmes Unit, has announced the commencement of applications for admission into its diploma programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session.
Please Note: Completed Application forms must be returned to the Diploma and Certificate Programmes unit, the University of Maiduguri not later than 27 February 2026.
Applications are open to suitably qualified candidates for various two-year diploma programmes offered by the university. The programmes include Diploma in Mass Communication, Civil Law, Accounting, Social Works, Computer Science, Information Technology, Biology Education, Chemistry Education, Physics Education, Mathematics Education, Science Laboratory Technology, Banking and Finance, Marketing, Business Administration, Arabic Studies, Islamic Studies, Public Administration, Health and Social Services Administration, Politics and Development Studies, as well as Visual and Performance Arts.
The university outlined the general admission requirements, stating that applicants must possess at least four credit passes in relevant academic subjects obtained from WASC, SSCE, NECO, NABTEB or General Certificate of Education (GCE) at not more than two sittings. Alternatively, candidates with four credit or merit passes from the Teachers Grade II Certificate may also apply, provided that at least two of the subjects are relevant to the chosen field of study.
Application forms are obtainable from the Diploma and Certificate Programmes Unit, Science Complex, University of Maiduguri, upon payment of ₦4,000 into the UNIMAID Consult account via payunimaid.net.

Admission Requirements for UNIMAID Diploma Programmes
- Passes in four 4 Academic Subjects at credit level in the WAEC, SSCE, NECO, NABTEB or General Certificate of Education (GCE) at not more than two sittings, two or more of which must be relevant to the field of study
- Passes in 4 academic Subjects at credit or merit level in the Teachers Grade 2 Certificate at not more than two sittings, two or more of which must be relevant to the field of study.
How to Apply for UNIMAID Diploma Programmes
- Applications forms are obtainable from the Diploma and Certificate Programmes unit, (Science Complex) University of Maiduguri PMB 1069 Maiduguri.
- When you get there, you will be asked to pay four thousand naira #4000 for the application form.
- The payment will be made UNIMAID consult Account with UNIMAID Microfinance Bank Maiduguri and fidelity bank Nigeria plc.
CLOSING DATE
Completed Application forms must be returned to the Diploma and Certificate Programmes unit, the University of Maiduguri not later than 27 February 2026.
