Cursory: A TikTok video has shown the moment a female graduate was given a red carpet treatment as she returned to her home wearing her graduation gown. A group of women from what seems like her neighborhood placed their wrappers on the ground for her to walk on, to honor her achievement.
A female graduate received royal treatment from excited women in her community as she returned home. In a now-viral TikTok video, the women surrounded the car that brought her home and had their wrappers laid out on the ground for her to walk on.
In the emotional video, the woman chanted after her as she walked into the compound following the trail of wrappers on the soil. One of the women converted a bucket into a drum as she hit it to accompany the chant celebrating the young woman. As she walked on the wrappers, some women behind picked them up as they followed her.
