Cursory: The Council of Legal Education in Nigeria has withdrawn an approved list it had posted on the website official website. This action is speculated to be because of the backlash the list had received from students and parents alike because of obvious discrepancies in the list.
The Council of Legal Education has removed the list of recognized law faculties that it had previously displayed on its website.
According to reports, a list of faculties from which admission to the one-year law school program can be obtained was approved by the Council on April 23.
The list had been signed by the Secretary of the Council and the Director of Administration.
The list, however, sparked a rush of inquiries and concerns from students, parents, and guardians around the nation who were concerned about the apparent disappearance of several faculties of law that had been approved by the Council to carry out a legal program and had been taken down this afternoon.
A notice on the Council’s website read, “The list that contains the names of approved law faculties has been withdrawn. A new list in being compiled.”
As at the time of filing this report, no official statement has been gotten from the Law School authority on the development.
