Native Doctor, 2 Others Arrested for Allegedly Killing A 200l University Student

A traditional healer and two others have been arrested by the Edo state Police in connection with the death of a 200 level Delta State University Student.

Three individuals, including a 26-year-old traditional healer named Chukwuyem Jonah, have been apprehended by the Edo State Police Command in connection with the tragic death of Faith Omodon, a 200-level student of Delta State University, Agbor.

Faith was reported missing on April 4 from the Iru Egbede community in Orhionmwon Local Government Area of Edo State after she failed to return from the farm.

Commissioner of Police Funsho Adegboye disclosed that along with the native doctor, Godspower Chukwuedo, 23, and Christopher Nwachukwu, 22, were also arrested, along with 11 other suspects.

Faith’s father, Edward Omodon, expressed his devastation over the incident, demanding justice for his daughter’s untimely demise.

“I know Chukwuyem Jonah very well; we stayed together. I see him every day,” he said.

“I want justice. I want them to pay for the killing of my daughter. I don’t want my daughter to die like that without any action from the government,” he added.
