The students reported that their situation in Morocco has become dire, as they struggle to afford basic necessities like food and accommodation.

They have appealed to President Akufo-Addo for assistance, stating that their financial struggles are affecting their ability to focus on their studies.

A video seen by YEN.com.gh shows the students expressing their plight, revealing that they have not received their stipends for nearly 11 months. This delay has left them financially strained and unable to meet essential needs.

One female student tearfully described how the lack of funds has made it difficult to afford even basic items like sanitary pads, adding that money sent from home is insufficient due to the high cost of living.

A male student emphasized the urgency of their situation, pointing out that even the cheapest accommodation, costing $120 per month, is out of reach without their stipends. He noted that some students have been forced to sleep with friends or outdoors as their landlords demand overdue rent.

The students knelt and pleaded with President Akufo-Addo to intervene and ensure the release of their stipends, highlighting the hardships they face in Morocco.
