A woman who declined a man’s marriage proposal on her graduation day has finally shared her side of the story.
Reports emerged of a woman who turned down a marriage proposal from a man who chose to propose to her during her graduation ceremony.
The man had gone down on one knee and proposed to her after showering her with N20 notes.
In a video posted on her social media page, the woman appeared with red-rimmed eyes, indicating she had been crying.
She clarified that the rejection was not due to the N20 notes, dispelling any misconceptions about her decision.
“Pray for me, guys. Spraying N20 was not the reason I rejected the proposal,” she said.
Here are some reactions from social media users:
@That_urhobo_girl said: “Drop the gist why you rejected him. At least you could have accepted there and told him in private later. No need to disgrace him publicly.”
@Da_Real_Ese said: “Thanks for adding drama to Delsu’s graduation this year. I thought it would be boring!”
@Bâhd_Shawty said: “Why is everyone only mentioning the N20 notes? Didn’t you see the new N500 notes on the ground?”
@Greatness said: “She’s just trying to trend on TikTok. Madam, drop the full story!”
