Clifford University Disclaimer Notice on Purported Suspension of Over 50 Students.

The University Management has been notified of a false narrative circulating on social media about the suspension of over 50 students on the grounds that they joined online prayers.
The statements made are misleading, defamatory, and highly scandalous and therefore do not reflect our institution, its policies or practices. For the purpose of clarity, only seven (7) students were suspended on grounds of insubordination, violation of hostel rules, lying and dishonesty against the alleged suspension of over 50 students for joining an online prayer meeting.
Clifford University, being a faith-based institution, apart from corporate prayers in churches, on campus and in classes before commencement of lectures, encourages each student to have a time for personal devotion.
We urge the public to disregard such false information and seek verified information only through appropriate and verified channels.
Signed: Management.
