LASU Graduate Oyindamola Awosola Speaks on Integrating Modern Medicine with Tradition in Nigerian Healthcare

Oyindamola Esther Awosola (Fadolapo), an alumna of Lagos State University (LASU), has distinguished herself as a clinical pharmacognosist as she expertly mixes academic excellence with knowledge of traditional Medicine.

Oyindamola Esther Awosola (Fadolapo), an alumna of Lagos State University (LASU), has distinguished herself as a clinical pharmacognosist.

She expertly merges academic excellence with a profound understanding of traditional and integrative medicine within the Nigerian healthcare landscape, all while pursuing her doctorate in Pharmacognosy at the University of Jos (UNIJOS).

Starting with a BSc in Microbiology from LASU, Oyindamola advanced her education with an MSc in Pharmacognosy and Traditional Medicine from UNIJOS.

She is currently working towards a PhD in Pharmacognosy at UNIJOS and is also an MSc Scholar in Regulatory Science at the University of Lagos (UNILAG).

Oyindamola’s unique expertise combines formal education and traditional knowledge, allowing her to create innovative Nigerian herbal products for leading nutraceutical and herbal product companies.

Based in Lagos, her practice features Africa’s pioneering integrative medicine platform, a rapidly growing service that promotes holistic healthcare. This platform serves subscribers across Nigeria and includes a nature pharmacy offering a variety of natural medicines.

In addition to her entrepreneurial pursuits, Oyindamola is a respected lecturer at the Lagos State Traditional Medicine Board, where she teaches Natural Drug Development.

Inspired by her personal experiences, she strives to innovate and enhance healthcare delivery through integrative and traditional medicine practices in Nigeria.
