Oluwanifemi Olajuyigbe, Nigeria’s Best Female Engineer of 2023, has begun a master’s program in Big Data Management and Analytics at the Université Libre de Bruxelles after securing the prestigious Erasmus Mundus Scholarship.


Oluwanifemi Olajuyigbe, recognized as Nigeria’s Best Female Engineer of 2023, has reached another milestone by securing the prestigious Erasmus Mundus Scholarship to pursue a master’s degree at the Université Libre de Bruxelles in Belgium.
Oluwanifemi first gained national recognition after graduating as the top engineering student in Nigeria, earning a first-class degree in Electrical Engineering with an outstanding CGPA of 4.93 out of 5.00.
Now studying Big Data Management and Analytics (BDMA) as part of her Master’s program in Computer Science and Engineering, Oluwanifemi began this new academic journey in September 2024. Her coursework focuses on advanced topics such as data mining, data science workflows, and advanced databases.
Expressing gratitude and enthusiasm, Oluwanifemi shared her excitement about collaborating with a diverse group of students and enhancing her technical skills. She stated, “I’ll continue to build on these experiences to deepen my understanding of data-driven decision-making and design innovative solutions for complex real-world problems.”
Thankful for her achievements, she reflected on her faith and optimism for the future, saying, “I remain hopeful and excited for what the future holds, trusting that He who began this good work in me will see it through to completion.”
