A pregnant corps member amazed many after sneaking out of the hospital while in labour to attend her NYSC POP, collect her certificate, and then return to safely deliver a baby boy the same day.

A pregnant corps member has gone viral after sharing how she managed to attend her NYSC Passing Out Parade (POP) and collect her certificate while in active labour.
In a TikTok video posted by @stephychizzy, the young woman documented the unusual day. She explained that she had started experiencing contractions a day earlier and had already been admitted to the hospital, where doctors confirmed she was 4cm dilated.
Despite this, she was determined not to miss her POP. With the help of her brother, who secretly sneaked her out of the hospital, she dressed up and made it to the ceremony to receive her certificate.
From Parade Ground to Delivery Room
“Already 4cm dilated but I had to go get my certificate ooo. I got back from the hospital and the nurses were already looking for me, asking my husband where I went to,” she narrated.
According to her, both her husband and sister stood by her throughout the ordeal. After successfully collecting her certificate, she returned to the hospital, where she later gave birth to a healthy baby boy.
Her mother, also featured in the video, was visibly emotional, celebrating both her daughter’s safe delivery and her completion of national service.
The new mother captioned her video: “Corper Naza. POP came with double blessings.”
The story has since drawn admiration online, with many praising her resilience, determination, and courage in managing two life-changing milestones on the same day.
