Fake Nupe Language Admission Scam – IBBUL Disowns Fraudulent Admission Offer

The Management of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University (IBBUL), Lapai, has issued an urgent warning over a circulating message claiming that candidates who scored 150 and above in the 2025 UTME can secure admission into a Bachelor of Arts in Nupe Language through private contacts

The attention of the Management of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai, has been drawn to a circulating message suggesting that candidates who scored 150 and above in the 2025 UTME can seek admission into a Bachelor of Arts in Nupe Language through a private contact.

For clarity and public guidance, the University wishes to state that no such programme has been approved, and it does not appear in the current JAMB Brochure.

The NUC has not officially communicated any approval for this programme to the University, and there has been no discussion or agreement with any individual regarding admissions into it.

IBBUL does not conduct admissions through personal phone numbers, private contacts, or unofficial channels, and anyone engaging with such claims does so entirely at his or her own risk.

The University operates only through established procedures and will not tolerate attempts to mislead the public or take advantage of admission seekers.

Prospective candidates and parents are strongly advised to rely solely on official announcements from the University’s website, verified communication platforms, and the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
