MAUTECH Warning to Fresh Students to Beware of Registration Process Fraudsters.

This is to advise newly admitted students who are currently carrying out their online registration, that they are strongly advised to be vigilant and beware of scammers and unscrupulous individuals who take advantage of this registration period.

Students are advised to use only approved and official university channels for all registration and payment processes. Do not follow random or unverified links, no matter how convincing they may appear, just to make the process easier.

This period, is often exploited by scammers who are aware that new students may not yet be familiar with university procedures. Therefore, any issue or information that is not clear should be verified before taking action.

Students are encouraged to make inquiries through:

  • The Admissions Office
  • The Students’ Union Government (SUG)
  • The Information Office for reliable and verified information.

Furthermore, students should be cautious about:
Sharing personal details with individuals claiming to assist with registration, making payments outside the approved university payment channels.

Please note: the University will not be liable for any payment made outside the officially approved channels.

When in doubt, ask questions. Do not rush, and do not assume. Staying alert is the best protection against scams.
