Professor Mufutau Olaoye Atayese led management of the Federal University of Agriculture and Development Studies, Iragbiji (FUADSI) has restated the commitment of the newly established University to innovation, education and transformation in every spheres and in all ramifications, just as the institution announced the commencement of applications for its 2025/2026 Pre-Degree Programme.


According to a statement issued by the University’s Registrar, Afolabi Tunde Muritala, the programme is designed to prepare prospective students academically for admission into the varsity’s undergraduate degree programme, and to enhance their performance in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME).
According to him, applicants must possess at least five credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, in the Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (SSCE), National Examinations Council (NECO), or National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB), obtained in not more than two sittings. He added that candidates with minor deficiencies may still apply, but must correct them before the 2026/2027 admission exercise.
“Interested candidates are required to apply online through the University’s official portal and pay a ₦15,000 application fee via Remita. Successful participants must also obtain an acceptable UTME score to qualify for admission into the University’s degree programmes”, he said.
The pre-degree programme will run at the University’s take-off Campus and Pathfinder College of Health Technology Study Centre in Iragbiji, Osun State.
The release stated that the University offers courses across three faculties, including Agriculture and Renewable Natural Resources, Social and Management Sciences, and Natural and Applied Science.
Some of the available courses across the three faculties are: B.Agric in Crop Science, Soil Science, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Extension, Animal Science, and Agribusiness.
Others are: B.Sc. Food Science and Technology, B.Sc. Accounting, B.Sc. Economics, B.Sc. Business Administration, B.Sc. Entrepreneurship, B.Sc. Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution, B.Sc. Computer Science, B.Sc. Mathematics, B.Sc. Physics with Electronics, B.Sc. Industrial Chemistry, B.Sc. Zoology, B.Sc. Microbiology and B.Sc. Plant Science.
