Oyo School Attack: Niece Demands Justice Over Murdered Teacher Uncle

Princess Adesewa Oladosu broke down in grief after her uncle, mathematics teacher Michael Oyedokun, was killed during the Oyo school attack by bandits, as she called for justice over the tragedy.

A young Nigerian woman, Princess Adesewa Oladosu, has publicly mourned her uncle, Michael Oyedokun, the mathematics teacher who was kidnapped and killed during the recent attack on schools in Oyo State by armed bandits.

The tragic incident occurred on Friday, May 15, 2026, when gunmen riding motorcycles invaded several schools in the Ahoro-Esinele and Yawota communities. The affected schools included Community Grammar School, Baptist Nursery and Primary School, and L.A. Primary School.

Following the coordinated assault, Seyi Makinde confirmed that 25 students and seven teachers were abducted by the attackers. Among the victims was Michael Oyedokun, whose death has sparked grief and outrage across the community.

Princess Adesewa Oladosu took to Facebook to express her pain over the loss of her uncle, stating that the country had failed him and demanding justice for his killing. In her emotional tribute, she called on those responsible for his death to face justice.

Her post read in part: “Uncle, this pain is too much. Fight back against your killers and everyone involved in your death. Let your blood cleanse our nation and let justice be served.”

The heartbreaking message has drawn reactions from many Nigerians online, with several people sympathizing with the bereaved family and condemning the growing insecurity affecting schools and communities in the country.
