On Monday, former presidential candidate Adamu Garba accused the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) of destroying Nigeria’s education system. Garba described ASUU as the most disruptive system in Nigeria’s education sector.
He lamented that unions always strike for money rather than innovative learning.
In a Facebook post, the businessman wanted to know why ASUU was allowed to exist in Nigeria.
“The single most destructive system of Education in Nigeria is ASUU. Always Striking for money, not for innovative learning.
“I don’t know why such kind of Union still exists when we are not a communist state,” he wrote.
If the federal government fails to fulfill the agreement reached in December 2020, ASUU has threatened another nationwide strike.
