This is to notify all interested regular students of Abia State University and the Public, of the Inter-University and Inter-Departmental change of degree programmes, for the 2024/2025 academic session.
Interested students, their parents and guardians should note the following:
Guidelines:
- The student must have spent at least one (1) academic session in the University and must possess the minimum entry requirements for the degree programme being applied for;
- For transfer students, the student must be from a University recognized by the National Universities Commission (NUC)/Federal Ministry of Education;
- The student must present a transcript showing results for the first and second semesters, with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of not less than 3.50 and the transcript must be certified by the Registrar;

- The student should apply to the Vice-Chancellor, through his/her current Dean and Head of Department;
- Change of degree programmes should be exercised only once during a student’s undergraduate programme;
- Prescribed fees will be paid.
Please note, that successful students must collect letters of approval for change of degree programmes, endorsed by the Registrar.
