Brilliant Nigerian Lady Graduates with First-Class in Business Administration, Wins Best Student Award

Islamiyah Adesina, the only first-class graduate in her department’s 2024 class at UNILORIN, earned the best-graduating student award, completed internships at KPMG and Bank of America, received multiple scholarships and awards, and excelled in leadership and community service.

Islamiyah Adesina, a talented Nigerian student, graduated from the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) with a first-class degree in Business Administration, earning the title of best-graduating student. Remarkably, she was the only first-class graduate in her department’s 2024 class.

Islamiyah shared her gratitude on Twitter, reflecting on her journey and achievements, which include internships at KPMG and Bank of America.

In addition to her academic excellence, she was inducted into the Association of Accounting Technicians West Africa (AATWA). She also gained national recognition by securing the 2nd Overall Best position in Nigeria for ATS 3 in 2021. Her earlier achievements include being named Best in Nigeria for Business Law in ATS 1 (September 2020) and Overall Best in Nigeria for ATS 2 (March 2021).

Throughout her studies, Islamiyah was awarded four scholarships and received four prestigious awards from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).

Beyond academics, she showcased strong leadership by holding seven leadership positions and contributed to the community through five volunteer engagements.
