Slowendji Duroseau became the first in her family to earn a bachelor’s degree from Florida International University and is now pursuing a master’s in Higher Education Administration to support others in their academic journeys.


Slowendji Duroseau has made history in her family by earning a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and Teaching from Florida International University (FIU).
Celebrating her achievement on Instagram, Duroseau expressed gratitude for the personal and academic growth she experienced during her time at FIU. “My time here has molded me into the woman I am today. I’m thankful for the many opportunities I had to grow not only as a student but also as a leader,” she reflected.
Duroseau’s journey doesn’t end here—she has returned to FIU to pursue a master’s degree in Higher Education Administration, driven by her passion for helping others succeed. “I’ve always loved helping others, and I feel blessed to refine that passion by supporting college students in navigating the education system,” she shared.
Her inspiring story stands as a testament to the power of perseverance and education, marking a proud moment for her family.
