Ryyan Pritchett, a brilliant scholar from Greensboro, earned $1.4 million in scholarships, chose to study at Harvard, and aspires to impact education and social policy through storytelling and history.

A gifted young scholar, Ryyan Pritchett, from Greensboro, has secured a remarkable $1.4 million in scholarships from multiple top universities in the United States.
Pritchett, a graduate of STEM Early College at North Carolina A&T University, achieved an impressive 4.68 GPA, earning admission offers from prestigious institutions such as Harvard University, Duke University, Brown University, and Georgia Tech. After careful consideration, she chose to pursue her studies at Harvard.
“I chose Harvard because it provided opportunities for me to be alongside other bright-minded students and faculty. I also want to branch out and get to know people all over the world and gain a different perspective on life,” she said.
Passionate about U.S. history and literature, Pritchett credits her parents for instilling in her a deep love for education. “Ever since I was younger, my parents told me education was important. I love learning new things and challenging myself,” she shared.
Beyond academics, she expresses her creativity through poetry and short stories, often drawing inspiration from personal experiences. After earning a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Harvard in 2023, she began teaching English Language Arts in Houston, Texas, where she emphasizes an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
“The classroom is a sacred space where every child should feel seen, valued, and wanted, regardless of identity or background. As such, I have developed a learning environment that makes space for every student to thrive,” she explained.
Looking ahead, Pritchett is considering a career as a policy analyst or documentary film director, blending her passion for storytelling, history, and social. Her journey serves as an inspiration to young students striving for academic excellence.
