Cursory: There is a prevailing belief that academic success requires sacrificing all other aspects of life. However, Samuel Chinedu Onuh’s remarkable academic journey challenges this notion.

There is a popular belief that has been passed down by parents and society in general throughout different generations, it is the notion that for one to excel academically they have to give 100% of their time and dedication to school work and cancel out every other thing in their lives.
This includes hobbies, social activities, political aspirations, etc, so basically, one should eat breathe, and speak academics only.
Samuel Chinedu Onuh’s whole academic journey has single-handedly debunked that notion.
Here’s why, the brilliant young man graduated from the University of Nigeria, with First class honors and was also the best-graduating student in his department with a 4.67 CGPA.
However, unlike what you might think, he did not bury his nose in the pages of a book rather he combined his academics so many other activities and interests.
“I participated in circular politics, football and academic writing. During my school days, I was a two-time Director of Games, Faculty of the Social Sciences.”
“I’m the National Director of Games Igbo-Eze south Student AssociationI was the Chairman, Nigeria students and Youths, Igbo-Eze south. I’m a former Executive assistant to the former Executive chairman of Igbo-Eze south.”
“I have other political positions I have held.” he added.

Apparently, Samuel is a jack of all trades because he also played football for Enugu State and juggled menial jobs in other to make ends meet in school. He shouldered all these responsibilities and still came out too of his class with an outstanding CGPA.
He said that he is sharing his story in hopes that it will help motivate people to multitask. He also asked that the federal government should help graduates to soar high with their certificates and not just keep them as a trophy.
“I feel people who have the ability to multitask should be movitated to do so, that’s why I feel I should share with us.”
“Again, Nigerians should not allow our academic journey to end here, we need viable opportunities that can announce us to the world,” he told ALLSCHOOL.
