Jennifer Pokuaa Effah made history as the first Ghanaian psychologist in Spain, earning a degree from the University of Rovira and Virgili, while continuing her professional development with further qualifications and a master’s degree in occupational health and safety.


A brilliant young woman, Jennifer Pokuaa Effah, has made history by becoming the first Ghanaian psychologist in Spain. Jennifer earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Rovira and Virgili in Tarragona, Spain, and shared her achievement on TikTok, proudly stating that she is now licensed to practice as a psychologist in Spain.
“I’m a graduate! I’m a psychologist! I’m a winner! This is the Lord’s doing. Yes, yes, yesss! I am the first Ghanaian psychologist in Spain. Ghana to the world. Thank you, God,” she celebrated in her post.
In addition to her psychology degree, Jennifer revealed on LinkedIn that she has also obtained qualifications in health documentation and administration as well as nursing assistance. Describing herself as a proactive individual, she expressed a strong passion for innovation and continuous learning.
Jennifer aims to continue her professional development, applying her expertise to enhance people’s quality of life and contribute to the creation of healthy, efficient organizations.
Currently, Jennifer is pursuing a master’s degree in occupational health and safety, with future plans to specialize in sexology and couples therapy.
