COOU Convocation Ceremony: Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU) 16th Convocation Ceremony Schedule of Events.

Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), Anambra State, has announced plans for its combined 4th Founder’s Day Memorial Lecture, which will be held in conjunction with the institution’s 16th Convocation Ceremony.

The event is scheduled to take place from Wednesday, 22nd, to Saturday, 25th April 2026. According to the university’s announcement, the proceedings will be held at the EFT Auditorium, Igbariah Campus, with activities commencing at 10:00 am daily.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kate Aziya Omengwa, B.Sc., will lead the university community in the series of events, which will also feature the formal declaration of registration for the 4th Founder’s Day Lecture Series.
The convocation and lecture series serve as a tribute to the late Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, the university’s namesake, celebrating his legacy while marking the academic achievements of graduating students.

- Details: Special service and engagement with the Vice-Chancellor.

4. Convocation Lecture
- Date: Friday, 24th April, 2026
- Time: 10:00 am
- Lecturer: His Excellency Mr. Michal Cygan – The Polish Ambassador in Nigeria.
- Theme: Building Innovative Minds and Bridges for Shared Prosperity.
- Venue: ETF Auditorium, Igbariam Campus
5. 16th Convocation Ceremony
- Date: Saturday, 25th April, 2026
- Time: 11:00 am
- Details: Official Convocation for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate Graduands.
- Venue: Convocation Arena, Igbariam Campus
MODE OF PAYMENT
All payments to Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University should be made through the following process:

- Click on the Sunday button
- Click on the “Pay” button
- Generate payment invoice under “Sunday” and pay online or at any bank of your choice with the receipt and collection
GENERAL NOTICE TO ALL GRADUANDS
- Graduands are please requested to note the following:
- First Degree Graduands are to ensure that they pay the sum of N25,000 for the Convocation Ceremonies
- It is mandatory for Higher Degree Graduands to pay the sum of N70,000 for the Convocation Ceremonies
- All Graduands are expected to:
a) Collect their academic gowns
b) Collect Convocation Brochure
c) Collect Scrolls
d) Collect COOU Jacket
e) Collect COOU Tie or Scarf
f) Collect Cap
SECURITY TIPS
- Bags and luggage are strictly disallowed inside the Convocation Arena
- Visitors are permitted in the designated areas or as may be directed on arrival
- Security personnel will guide all vehicles to the designated parking area of any kind is not allowed near the Convocation Arena
