Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU) has officially launched a new digital mobile application designed to manage students’ academic life cycle, marking a significant milestone in the institution’s transition from analog to digital operations.

The development was announced in an internal memo issued on 24th February 2026 by the Directorate of Information and Communication Technology (DICT) to all Heads of Departments and students.
According to the memo signed by the Director of ICT, Engr. Prof. J.P. Iloh, the newly developed platform is now live and available for download on both Google Play Store and Apple App Store. The mobile application enables students to carry out essential academic and administrative activities seamlessly. Students are required to download the app and follow the onboarding guide provided via an official video link below to begin usage.
The new COOU App offers a wide range of features, including seamless school fees payment, online course registration, result checking, online clearance, real-time CGPA updates, lecture and CBT scheduling, student complaint resolution, SUG election voting, and 24-hour support for students and lecturers. It also introduces innovative components such as AI-driven CGPA improvement hints, AI-powered CBT question generation, a student wallet system for fee payments, lecture and examination evaluation modules, and the creation of official COOU-based email addresses for all students.
The Directorate further informed that students who have paid their school fees for the 2025/2026 academic session can commence course registration on the new platform upon payment of the compulsory ICT fee of ₦15,000 via the CREDO platform integrated into the app. While the old platform remains functional, all students are mandated to register their courses for the 2025/2026 session on both platforms. Heads of Departments are also required to ensure submission of approved CCMAS (100–300 level) and BMAS (400 level and above) course lists to enable smooth profiling and registration on the new system.
The launch of the mobile application underscores COOU’s commitment to innovation, efficiency, and digital transformation. As the university advances its analog-to-digital migration, students and staff are encouraged to embrace the new platform to enhance transparency, accessibility, and overall academic experience.
