UNIPORT’s Faculty of Law sparked debate by including the viral ‘Lamba for Lambo’ saga involving Burna Boy and Sophia Egbueje in a law exam question, prompting discussions on its legal implications.

The University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) Faculty of Law has stirred controversy online after referencing the viral ‘Lamba for Lambo’ incident involving Afrobeats star Burna Boy and socialite Sophia Egbueje in an examination question.
The saga began when Sophia Egbueje alleged that Burna Boy had promised to buy her a Lamborghini following an alleged intimate encounter. However, he reportedly failed to fulfill the promise, sparking widespread online discussions.
A now-viral video shared by @lifeof_mezuu revealed that this real-life controversy appeared in a two-page law exam as a three-mark question. The question stated:
“In what is now known as the ‘Lamba for Lambo’ saga, Sophia had a one-night stand with Burna Boy, with the agreement that he would buy her a Lamborghini Jeep. Burna Boy reneged on the agreement, and Sophie is contemplating bringing an action in court to enforce the agreement. Advise her (3 marks).”
The inclusion of the pop culture reference has ignited debate on social media, with many questioning the legal implications of the case and whether it holds any merit in court.
