Aliko Dangote, the famous industrialist, and the richest man in Africa is planning to build a university in Abuja as part of his contribution to the educational system in Nigeria. Dangote has already done a lot for the educational system in Nigeria: he donated a ten blocks hostel to the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, he donated a business school to Bayero University, Kano and a host of other helpful donations made to other institutions in the country.
Building a university in Abuja will help in developing the knowledge base of the federal capital territory. It will also increase the chances of students seeking admission to Universities in Nigeria.
The Dangote Group has been a major helper to the Nigerian society and economy in terms of job creation, social responsibility, and laundering Nigeria’s image in the eyes of the international community. Dangote group also gives back to other African countries, especially places where they have investments.
