Ebonyi State has been recognized as one of the top three performers in the 2024 NECO exams, with 80.55% of students passing key subjects—a result attributed to Governor Nwifuru’s education reforms and investment.


allscho Ebonyi State has been ranked among the top three performers nationwide in the 2024 National Examination Council (NECO) Senior Secondary Certificate Examination.
According to a performance review by the data analytics firm Statisense, Ebonyi joined Abia and Imo States at the top, with 80.55% of its students securing at least five credits, including Mathematics and English.
Jude Chikadibia Okpor, Commissioner for Information and State Orientation, lauded the achievement as a reflection of the educational reforms led by Governor Francis Nwifuru. He credited the administration’s consistent investments in education for the impressive outcome.
“This academic success confirms the wisdom behind the people’s support for Governor Nwifuru. It’s a sign of even greater results as we approach two years in office,” Okpor said.
