Edo University Iyamho has celebrated a significant milestone, hosting its 10th Matriculation Ceremony to welcome newly admitted students into its academic community.
The event, which took place on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at the Aliko Dangote Auditorium, was attended by distinguished guests, university management, and enthusiastic students.
In his address, Acting Vice-Chancellor Professor Dawood O. Egbefo congratulated the matriculants on meeting the university’s admission requirements. He emphasized the importance of upholding the institution’s regulations and utilizing available academic resources.
A thought-provoking lecture was delivered by Professor (Mrs.) Omare Celia Otote, who stressed the significance of character development alongside academic achievement. She highlighted critical aspects of personal development, including self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and leadership.
Newly admitted students expressed their excitement about beginning their academic journey at Edo University Iyamho. Desmond Offor praised the university’s state-of-the-art facilities, while Oghene Success shared her determination to graduate with first-class honours.
