Edo University Iyamho has announced the promotion of nine of its senior academic staff to the prestigious ranks of Associate Professors and Professors following favourable assessments.


This landmark achievement underscores their exceptional dedication to academia, research, and service to the university community.
The promotions reflect the university’s commitment to fostering academic excellence and recognizing the invaluable contributions of its faculty to the advancement of knowledge and societal development.
The following academic staff were elevated to the rank of Associate Professor:
- Dr. Ewomazino Akpor – Department of Mass Communication
- Dr. Benjamin Olusola Abere – Department of Economics
- Dr. Anthony Iyoha Emhenya – Department of Political Science/Public Administration
- Dr. Izehiuwa G. Enato – Department of Paediatrics
- Dr Oseni Tijani Idris Ahmad – Department of Family Medicine
- Dr. (Mrs) C.A. Idaguko – Department of Anatomy
In addition, the following esteemed academic staff were promoted to the rank of Professor:
- Prof. A. E. Memudu – Department of Anatomy
- Prof. Omosigho Omoruyi Pius – Department of Medical Laboratory Science
- Engr. Prof. Ugheoke Benjamin Iyenagbe – Department of Mechanical Engineering
