The EmpowerHer Accounting Scholarship offers a valuable opportunity for young females with a passion for accounting to pursue their professional aspirations with the support they need.
It is designed to support young females aged between 18 and 23 who aspire to pursue a professional accounting qualification with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).Â

Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for the EmpowerHer Accounting Scholarship, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Age Requirement: Applicants must be females aged between 18 and 23 years.
- Interest in Accounting: Candidates should demonstrate a strong interest in pursuing a career in accounting.
- Financial Need: Applicants must require financial assistance to pursue ICAN certification.
Educational Requirements:
Applicants must fulfill one of the following educational requirements:
1. Secondary Education: Possess five (5) credit passes in any subject, including English Language, Mathematics, and Accounting, in the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), General Certificate of Education (GCE), National Examinations Council (NECO), or any equivalent qualification.
OR
2. Tertiary Education: Hold an Ordinary National Diploma from any Polytechnic recognized by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.
