The Federal Ministry of Education has officially debunked a fake press release currently circulating on social media.

According to the Fake circular dated 29th May, 2026, the Ministry allegedly announced the indefinite suspension of the National Award Scholarship and the dissolution of the Federal Scholarship Board due to financial constraints and unpaid obligations. The document, which bears the Ministry’s letterhead and logo, has caused confusion and anxiety among scholarship beneficiaries and the general public.
The Federal Ministry of Education wishes to clarify that the document is FAKE and was not issued by the Ministry. No such decision has been taken regarding the suspension of the National Award Scholarship or the dissolution of the Federal Scholarship Board.
The Ministry therefore addresses the public to always wait for official announcements from the Federal Ministry of Education through its verified channels before acting on any information relating to scholarships.
