The federal government, in collaboration with the private sector, launched the second edition of its laptop donation program, providing 50 laptops to secondary school students in Abuja as part of a broader initiative to train five million Nigerians annually in technical and vocational skills.

In a bid to train five million Nigerians annually in various skills, the federal government has launched the second edition of its laptop donation program for secondary school students nationwide.
Ms. Abiola Arogundade, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Technical, Vocational, and Entrepreneurship Education, inaugurated the initiative on September 26 at Government Secondary School, Tundun Wada, Abuja, donating 50 laptops to students.
The program, which started last July, is a collaboration with the private sector to promote technical and vocational education. Arogundade emphasized that the project aligns with President Tinubu’s mandate to enhance skill development, aiming to shift education towards practical, hands-on learning in a technology-driven economy.
The Presidential aide assured students that future donations will continue, ensuring widespread access to resources for skill development. Additionally, Afriobe Ltd, a technical partner, pledged to provide state-of-the-art tablets to talented students, further empowering them for success in the digital age.
