Federal University of Education Zaria, FUEZ Pro Chancellor/Governing Council Chairman has Approved New Appointments.
The upgrade of Federal College of Education, Zaria to Federal University of Education, Zaria has brought about significant changes in the institution’s administration. In line with this development, and following the recommendations of the Ag. Vice Chancellor, Dr. Suleiman Balarabe, the Pro Chancellor/Governing Council Chairman, Ambassador Baba Ahmed Jidda, has approved key appointments to spearhead the university’s advancement.
The Pro Chancellor/Governing Council Chairman, Ambassador Jidda approved the appointment of seasoned administrators to vital positions, which include; Malam Shehu Iya Sa’idu, formerly the Overseer of the Registry Department in the defunct FCE Zaria, has been appointed as the Acting Registrar. Similarly, Malam Ahmed Tijjani Abdul, the erstwhile Acting Librarian of FCE Zaria, now serves as the Acting Librarian of the university.
Additionally, Malam Muhammad Kabir Aliyu, previously the Deputy Bursar, has taken on the role of Acting Bursar. Dr. Haliru Musa, former Deputy Provost of FCE Zaria, has been appointed as the Acting Director of Academic Planning. The appointments are effective from 25th September, 2024 and 2nd October, 2024, respectively.
The Pro Chancellor congratulates the new appointees on behalf of the Governing Council of the University, and also charged them to demonstrate exceptional leadership, teamwork, and dedication in their respective roles. He emphasized the importance of their contributions to the university’s success. Ambassador Jidda also expressed gratitude to the university community for their unwavering support and extended his best wishes for the institution’s continued growth.
