FULafia V-C Appoints Junaid, Director of MBTCE, Names New HODs, Unit heads

The Vice-Chancellor of Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Prof. Mohammed Isa Kida, has approved the appointment of Prof. Surajudeen Alim Junaid as the Director of the Muhammadu Buhari TETFund Centre of Excellence (MBTCE) for a term of two years.

The appointment was announced in a statement issued by the Registrar of the University, Dr Nuradeen Abdu, as part of a broader restructuring aimed at strengthening academic and administrative leadership across the institution.

According to the statement, Mr Ibrahim Mijinyawa was reappointed as Acting Director of the Directorate of Environmental Safety, while Mrs. Martha Akabe Roberts retained her position as Acting Director of the Directorate of Quality Assurance.

The vice-chancellor also approved the appointment and reappointment of some heads of departments, directors and unit heads as detailed in the table attached.

The statement noted that all acting heads and acting directors would serve for a period of one year, while substantive appointments would run for two years.

The University Management expressed its confidence that the newly appointed officers would bring their wealth of experience and expertise to advance the institution’s academic excellence, research output and administrative efficiency.
