FULokoja Upgrades Two Departments to Faculties
The Federal University Lokoja has upgraded two (2) existing departments to faculties, they are: Department of Computer Science—now Faculty of Computing, and the Department of Mass Communication—now Faculty of Communication and Media Studies.
The positive development was revealed during the recent accreditation exercise conducted by the National Universities Commission (NUC), during which the University received a team of assessors and experts from the regulatory body for the re-accreditation of some of its programmes.
During the visit, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olayemi Akinwumi, assured the team of his administration’s commitment to ensuring that all the programmes run by the University received full accreditation status from the regulatory bodies. He led members of the panel on inspection visits to the University Library, faculties offices, laboratories, studios, and other facilities.
