Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun (FUPRE) should be included under the Ministry of Petroleum – VC
Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun, Delta State, Prof Akporofure Rim-Rukeh has proposed the inclusion of the institution under the Federal Ministry of Petroleum.
He said this while addressing participants of Course 29, National Defence College, Abuja, who visited the University on a study tour.
Prof Rim-Rukeh stated that even though the institution had achieved much in the area of research in oil and gas, it was yet to attain its height due to poor funding.
He further appealed to the visiting top military officers to push for the inclusion of the University under the Ministry of Petroleum.
