Ofure Ebhomielen made history as the first female student to achieve a perfect 7.0 CGPA at the University of Ibadan, earning her a fully funded scholarship for a Master’s degree in Computer Science at Stanford University.


In a remarkable accomplishment, Ofure Ebhomielen has etched her name in history as the first female student to graduate with a flawless 7.0 Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) at the University of Ibadan (UI) in Nigeria.
This extraordinary achievement has propelled her into a fully funded scholarship to pursue a Master’s degree in Computer Science at the prestigious Stanford University in the United States.
In 2019, Ofure triumphed as the best-graduating student at UI, achieving a first-class degree in Computer Science with a perfect CGPA of 7.0—the pinnacle of academic achievement at the institution. The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan pointed out that such an achievement has only been accomplished four times in the school’s history, making Ofure the first woman to reach this milestone.
What distinguishes her achievement further is her consistent maintenance of a perfect CGPA throughout her academic journey.
Ofure’s exceptional performance has opened doors for her at Stanford University, where she not only pursued her Master’s degree in Computer Science but also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant.
At Stanford, she honed her skills in various areas, including Artificial Intelligence (AI) Theories & Principles, Deep Learning Projects, as well as Machine Learning & Model Building.
Driven by her passion for AI, Ofure engaged in the exploration of advanced deep-learning models, mastering PyTorch, a prominent machine-learning framework.
