Brilliant Student Who Had 8As In WASSCE, Receives Scholarship To Medical School

Sampson Dabanyi, a medical student at Kwame Nkrumah University Science and Technology (KNUST) has been awarded a full scholarship to support his studies.

The scholarship was awarded by Zhenjiang Tang, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Cardinal Namdini Mining Limited, a subsidiary of Shandong Gold Group Limited, who intended to encourage the prodigy’s goal of becoming a doctor.

Sampson Dabanyi is an intelligent student from Ghana’s Oti Region, Worawora, where he graduated from Kpandu Senior High School in 2022 with 8As in the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

20 years old Dabanyi enrolled at KNUST, but because of his family’s low income and financial limitations, he needed assistance paying for his medical education.

Fortunately, the young man received backing from Zhenjiang Tang, the (CEO) of Cardinal Namdini Mining Limited who provided financial support to Dabanyi the KNUST student of the School of Medicine and Dentistry’s Human Biology BSc.

In the company of his mother and three brothers, Dabanyi received a Financial assistance of GH¢20,000 check from Tang, according to the GNA.

Tang promised to provide the fund for Dabanyi’s six-year medical study, with the first installment due in July. GH¢10,000 being sent to the university, and the student will receive the remaining GH¢10,000 for maintenance.

After graduating, Dabanyi wants to work as a surgeon or neurosurgeon and support his local area. The company shared his accomplishments and WASSCE scores on LinkedIn, and received praises.
