JAMB SUBJECT COMBINATION FOR PURE AND APPLIED MATHEMATICS

English Language(*), Mathematics, Physics and Biology or Agricultural Science or Chemistry or Geography

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER)

(i) BENIN accepts Mathematics, Physics and any of Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science.
(ii) PHC requires Mathematics and any two (2) of Physics, Chemistry, Economics.

O’LEVEL REQUIREMENT FOR PURE AND APPLIED MATHEMATICS

Below is the O’level Requirement for Pure & Applied Mathematics (UTME CANDIDATES)

Five (5) SSC credit passes including English Language, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology/Agricultural Science or Geography.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER)

(i) PHC requires Five (5) SSC credit passes including English Language, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology.
(ii) BENIN accepts Economics as the fifth (5th)subject

DIRECT ENTRY REQUIREMENT FOR PURE AND APPLIED MATHEMATICS

Two (2) ‘A’ level passes in Mathematics and any other Science subject.
NCE merit/HND/ND upper credit in Mathematics.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER)

(i) LAUTECH accepts ND upper credit, HND lower credit, NCE credit in relevant programmes into 200 level or ‘A’ Level passes in Mathematics , Physics,, Chemistry or Biology
(ii) COOU requires two (2) ‘A’ Level passes from Mathematics, Physics, Economics or Chemistry and accepts NCE.
(iii) PHC accepts PHC accepts Two (2) A/level GCE or HSC or IJMB or JUPEB passes in Mathematics and any one of Physics, Chemistry or Biology including UTME entry requirements.
(iv) BENIN: in addition to the UTME requirements, accepts (a) ND upper credit/ HND lower credit in Mathematics / Statistics or Science Laboratory Technology (b) NCE merit with ‘O’ Level credit passes in Mathematics and Physics.
(v) PAUL accepts ‘A’ Level passes in Mathematics, Pure and Applied Physics or Chemistry or Biology or Statistics or its equivalent.
