In JAMB, what is the meaning of Special Consideration (Waiver)??

It means, additional requirement for a particular course in a particular school. If your school have a special consideration for either O’level Requirement, UTME Subject Combination or Direct Entry Requirement, then please take note of it.

Note sometimes in special consideration column, the school requirement might be slight different from the general requirement. We advice you know your desired school’s special consideration for your course. ITS NECESSARY else you might be denied admission.

UTME / JAMB SUBJECT COMBINATION FOR AGRICULTURAL ECONOMICS AND EXTENSION

Below is the UTME/JAMB SUBJECT COMBINATION for Agricultural Economics and Extension in faculty of Agriculture/Vet. medicine;

  • English Language(*), Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science plus Mathematics or Physics.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER)

  • (i) JABU requires ‘O’ Level pass in Physics
  • (ii) TSUJ and CALABAR require Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science and either Mathematics or Physics. TSUJ also accepts Economics.
  • (iii) MAUTY requires Biology/Agric. Sc. and any other two (2) of Chemistry, Physics, Geography, Economics and Mathematics.
  • (iv) PHC requires Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science and any one of Physics or Mathematics or Geography or Economics.

O’LEVEL REQUIREMENT FOR AGRICULTURAL ECONOMICS AND EXTENSION

Below is the UTME/O’LEVEL Requirement for Agricultural Economics and Extension in faculty of Agriculture/Vet. medicine;

  • Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science and one of Geography, Physics and Economics.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER)

  • (i) CALABAR requires ‘O’ Level credit pass in Physics.
  • (ii) RSU requires ‘O’ Level credit pass in Agricultural Science with at least ‘O’ Level pass in Biology. Requires ‘O’ Level credit passes in Chemistry, Economics and Mathematics.
  • (iii) ESUTECH requires at least ‘O’ Level pass in Physics
  • (iv) CRUTECH in addition to UTME requirements accepts at least ‘O’ Level pass in Physics.
  • (v) PHC requires Five (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science and any one of Physics, Geography and Economics.
  • (vi) LAUTECH requires ‘O’ Level credit passes in Biology and Physics
  • (vi) ABSU requires five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science and one of Physics or Economics.
  • (vii) MINNA – Same as in Water Resources, Aquaculture and Fisheries Technology.
  • (viii) TSUJ accepts Statistics in lieu of Physics.
  • (ix) COOU requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes to include English Language, Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry and any one of Mathematics, Physics, Geography and Economics.
  • (x) MAUTY requires Five (5) O’Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry, and any one from Physics/Geography/Economics/Marketing.

DIRECT ENTRY REQUIREMENT FOR AGRICULTURAL ECONOMICS AND EXTENSION

Below is the DIRECT ENTRY (DE) Requirement for Agricultural Economics and Extension in faculty of Agricultural/Vet. Medicine;

  • Two (2) ‘A’ level passes in Chemistry and one of Zoology/Botany/Agricultural Science/Biology, Geography, Mathematics, Physics, Geology, Economics and Health Science.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER)

  • (i) ABSU accepts ND/HND at credit level.
  • (ii) CALABAR accepts: (a) two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in any of Chemistry, Biology / Botany/Zoology/Agricultural Science/ Geography /Geology /Economics and Mathematics. (b) HND, ND/NCE merit but does not accept IJMB and accepts at least ‘O’ Level pass in Physics
  • (iii) EKSU and BAUCHI accept ‘O’ Level pass in Physics
  • (iv) UYO accepts ND upper credit, HND lower credit, NCE merit in relevant programs plus UTME requirements.
  • (v) MAKURDI – As in Agricultural Economics
  • (vi) MAUTY accepts any of the following: (a) GCE `A’ Level credit passes in Chemistry, Biology/Agric. Sc. (b) OND/HND in Agric and other relevant field with a minimum of Lower Credit. (c) IJMB with 7 points credit passes in Chemistry, Biology/Agric. Science or Mathematics.
  • (vii) RSU accepts ND upper credit, HND/NCE at credit level in relevant subjects, plus UTME requirements into 200 level.
  • (viii) LAUTECH accepts ND upper credit, HND/NCE at credit level in relevant subjects, plus the UTME requirements.
  • (ix) TSUJ in addition to UTME requirements accepts; (a) ‘A’ Level passes to include Chemistry and any of Biology, Agricultural Science, Economics (b) ND lower credit and NCE merit (c) HND upper credit and NCE Distinction
  • (xi) EBSU accepts: a) two (2) ‘A’ level passes in Chemistry and one from Biology/Botany/ Zoology/Agric Science, Economics, Physics, Geography and Geology/ Mathematics (Pure and Applied) b) NCE with minimum merit passes in relevant subjects c) HND and OND with minimum of upper credit in relevant programs.
  • (xii) PHC accepts Two (2) A/level GCE or HSC or JUPEB or IJMB passes in Agricultural Science and any one from Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Economics including UTME entry requirements. OND (Upper Credit) in Agriculture from a recognized Institution including UTME entry requirements. HND with at least a (Lower Credit) from a recognised institution, including UTME entry requirements for a 3-year degree programme. Diploma in Agriculture from a recognised institution with minimum of Credit Pass, including UTME entry requirements.
