• (xvi) FED-DUTSINMA requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology/Agricultural Science/Animal Husbandry/Forestry/Fisheries.
• (xvii) RSU requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology or Agric Science and any other subject. A Pass in Physics is needed.
• (xviii) FUTO requires five (5) SSC credit passes or its equivalent at a maximum of two (2) sittings in the following subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology/Agricultural Science.
• (xix) FED-OYE EKITI requires five (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language, Biology/Agric Science, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics.

DIRECT ENTRY SPECIAL CONSIDERATION FOR FOOD SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY

• (i) IMSU accepts ND/NCE/HND in Agriculture, Animal Health, Food Science and Technology and Certificate of Registered Nurse (NRN).
• (ii) ABSU and MAUTY accept ND in Food Science and Technology.
• (iii) EBSU accepts (a) NCE with minimum merit passes in relevant subjects. (b) HND and ND with a minimum of upper credit in relevant programs.
• (iv) MINNA accepts ND lower credit/NCE merit in the Agricultural components of choice, and a minimum of merit in the other component; or HND with a minimum of lower credit to be admitted into 300 level.
• (vi) FUTA accepts (a) ND in Food Science and Technology with a minimum of upper credit from a recognized institution (b) GCE or equivalent passes at one sitting with at least six (6) points in two (2) of the following subjects: Biology/Agricultural Science and any of physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
• (vi) UMUDIKE and KUST as in Agriculture (vii) MAIDUGURI accept ND/HND in Food Science and Technology.
• (viii) UNN accepts for the four (4) year B.Sc. program, ‘A’ Level passes in any two (2) of the following subjects: Chemistry, Biology (Botany or Zoology), Agricultural Science, Physics, Mathematics.
• (ix) RSU in addition to ‘O’ Level requirements requires: (a) HND (Lower Credit) in relevant discipline. (b) OND/ND (Upper Credit) in relevant discipline, (c) Two (2) HSC/GCE ‘A’ level passes in two (2) subjects.
• (x) ILORIN requires candidates with ‘O’ Level pass in Biology, but who have ‘O’ Level credit pass in Agricultural Science may be considered. ‘O’ Level pass in Physics is acceptable in lieu of ‘O’ Level credit pass.
• (xi) BELLS accepts ND upper credit in Food Science and Technology/Science Laboratory Technology with Biology/Virology/Chemistry/Biochemistry options.
• (xiii) MAUTY accepts A Level credit passes in two of Chemistry, Biology/Agric. Science, Physics/Maths. OND/HND in Food Science and Technology or any other relevant field with a minimum of lower credit. IJMB with at least 7 points in Biology/Agric. Sci. Chemistry, Physics/Mathematics.
• (xiv) FUNAAB accepts upper credit in ND and HND in Food Science and Technology, Agricultural Programmes from recognised institutions in addition to the UTME requirements.
• (xv) MAKURDI accepts the UTME requirements plus `A’ Level passes in Physics and any one (1) of Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology or Biology: Upper/lower credit HND in relevant programs plus the UTME requirements. ND upper credit in relevant programs plus the UTME requirements; NCE credit pass in relevant programs plus the UTME requirements.
• (xvi) EBSU requires ‘A’ Level passes in at least two (2) relevant subjects Physics, Chemistry and Biology obtained at one (1) sitting and/or ND or its equivalent.
• (xvii) FED OYE-EKITI requires GCE (‘A’ Level) or equivalent in at Least two (2) Science subjects in any of Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics or Biology or a ND in Food Science and Technology, Science Laboratory Technology (Food Science Option) with Minimum of Upper Credit.
• (xviii) KUST accepts; (a) ND in Microbiology and Biochemistry with a minimum of upper credit. (b) NCE Double Major in related subjects with aggregates of eight (8) points.
• (xix) CALABAR – In addition to the basic Departmental requirements, candidates must have a minimum of upper credit in ND in Food Science and Technology or ‘A’ Level passes or its equivalent in at least two (2) of Chemistry, Biology, Physics or Mathematics.
• (xxi) FED-WUKARI – Direct Entry Candidates must obtain two A/L passes in GCE/IJMB/Advanced NABTEB or a merit pass at NCE or at least Lower in ND/HND in Food Science and Technology, Nutrition and Dietetics, Science Laboratory Technology, Agricultural/Chemical Engineering. Candidates must also satisfy the O/L requirement for admission.
• (xxii) FED-DUTSINMA requires (a) Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Chemistry and Biology/Agricultural Science. (b) IJMB in relevant subjects. (c) NCE/ND with at least merit in Mathematics/Physics/Chemistry and one (1) of Biology/Agric. Science.

• (ii) FUTO requires; a) At least two (2) ‘A’ level passes not below Grade C from Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry. b) ND/HND at Upper Credit level in Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science or Engineering. c) First Degree in Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science or Engineering. d) Very good passes in three JUPEB subjects namely Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. It does not accept NCE. Candidates must in addition meet UTME ‘O’ Level requirements.
• (iii) IBADAN – as in Agricultural and Environmental Engineering. Accepts ‘A’ Level passes in Mathematics and Chemistry plus UTME requirements.
• (iv) LAUTECH accepts ND/HND upper credit in relevant programmes into 200 level and ‘A’ Level passes in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. LAUTECH may accept ‘A’ Level Biology in lieu of Physics.
